System Reference

System reference

This reference page describes the role of each live system in practical terms: what it does, what it needs, and how it affects performance on stage.

Core systems

RagaX

Role: live raga engine, scale manager, controller remapper.

Performance implication: RagaX reduces setup friction during performance by making the controller and scale environment respond immediately to the selected raga.

RagaToColor

Role: raga identity color engine and swara-to-color translator.

Performance implication: RagaToColor preserves the link between musical movement and visual behavior by establishing the shared color identity that downstream visual systems inherit.

Visualization Runtime

Role: controller, OSC bridge, shader routing, and projection behavior.

Performance implication: The visualization runtime maps part, phrase, meend, and swara data into shader behavior in real time so projected image remains tied to live musical events.

RagaLights

Role: fixture bridge for Hue and DMX lighting driven by live color/state data.

Performance implication: RagaLights allows note and color data to reach fixtures directly, producing a stage response that stays tied to live musical events.

Rider snapshot

The performance rig provides balanced line-level stereo audio and works best with solid stereo reinforcement and adequate low-frequency support. Additional processing is generally unnecessary beyond room equalization.

A fuller technical rider can be shared on request for venues, festivals, and collaborators who need production details in advance.
